"NATURE HEALING KAMIYAMA" is a fully reservation-based private outdoor sauna and camping facility in Kamiyama Town, Myozai District, Tokushima Prefecture. A historic kura inherited from the owner’s grandfather has been restored, giving birth to an extremely rare authentic Finnish-style kura smoke sauna in Japan. The warm heat from the wood-burning stove and the fragrant aroma of smoke gently envelop the body, leading you into deep relaxation in a comfortable balance of temperature and humidity. After the sauna, you can dive into the clear stream of the Ayuigawa River, just a short walk away, and experience the luxury of becoming one with nature while totonou.
An authentic Finnish-style smoke sauna, extremely rare even in Japan, created by restoring a historic traditional Japanese kura. The soothing warmth rising from the wood stove and the unmistakably fragrant aroma of soot and smoke fill the room. In an exquisite space kept at a mild temperature and high humidity, you can warm deeply from the core of your body without feeling stifled and enjoy a profound meditation.
A powerful wood-stove tent sauna that brings you as close to nature as possible. By pouring water for self-löyly, a rush of high-temperature steam rises at once, sending intense yet deeply pleasant waves of heat through the tent. While listening to the crackling of the burning wood, you are led to wild, outdoor-style rapid perspiration and a refreshing totonou experience.
A private bucket-style cold bath on the premises, luxuriously filled with natural well water. Its soft, mellow texture is gentle on the skin. In addition to a dynamic cool-down in the river, you can also enjoy a more tranquil cool-down experience, slowly lowering your body temperature in a private single-user tub while feeling the quiet.
The crystal-clear Ayuigawa River flows just a few dozen seconds on foot from the sauna. This pristine stream, rich with the blessings of nature in every season, becomes a dynamic cold plunge bath, gently yet crisply cooling the body after the sauna. Floating on the water while listening to the murmur of the river and the birdsong, and enjoying an open-air bath surrounded by lush forest, creates a truly one-of-a-kind sense of becoming one with nature.
