About Hotel Mount Fuji

"Hotel Mount Fuji" is an exceptional resort hotel perched on a mountaintop in Yamanakako Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, and is overwhelmingly supported by sauna enthusiasts as a true holy site. The hot spring is a highly alkaline simple spring with a pH of 9.7, renowned for its beautifying effects and exceptionally gentle feel on the skin. In addition to a full-scale sauna equipped with METOS's "iki stove" and automatic löyly, the men's large bath also features Fugaku Jukkei, a fully glass-walled cube sauna that offers a direct view of Mount Fuji. The cold-plunge baths include two options: a smooth and delicious drinkable cold bath of natural Mount Fuji spring water, flowing continuously without a chiller, and Kunkai, a jet-and-bubble cold bath powerful enough to break the protective layer of steam around the body. The spectacular open-air bathing area facing the sacred Mount Fuji delivers an otherworldly totonou experience.

Observatory Open-Air Bath Hanare-no-Yu / Mantenboshi-no-Yu

A colorless, transparent, tasteless, and odorless alkaline simple spring with a pH of 9.7, offering a panoramic view of Mount Fuji and Lake Yamanaka at the same time. Known as a beautifying bath that leaves the skin smooth and silky, it is gentle enough that even children and elderly guests can enjoy a long, relaxing soak. In the open-air bath Hanare-no-Yu and the rock bath in the large bath Mantenboshi-no-Yu, where the starry sky can be admired, you can enjoy spectacular scenery that changes beautifully with each season.

A full-fledged dry sauna installed in the men's and women's large baths of Mantenboshi-no-Yu, with METOS-made "iki stove" at its center. It is equipped with an automatic löyly system that sprays Mount Fuji natural water onto the sauna stones once every 30 minutes, filling the room with a pleasant warm steam and comfortable heat. You can slowly warm your body from deep within and enjoy exceptional sweating.

Mount Fuji Natural Water Mist Sauna SIGURE

A gentle high-humidity mist sauna that luxuriously sprays the abundant natural water of Mount Fuji as ultra-fine mist. Designed with a mild temperature and humidity level of around 45°C, it lets you sweat softly and pleasantly without heating the body abruptly, while breathing in refreshing moisture. This is an exquisite relaxation space where the aroma of mist and hinoki essential oil soothes you through the breath.

Fugaku Jukkei (Men's)

A spectacular cube-shaped sauna with fully glass walls that opened in December 2024 in the outdoor bathing area of the men's Mantenboshi-no-Yu. From the sauna room windows, nothing obstructs the view of sacred Mount Fuji straight ahead, letting you experience the emotion of facing Mount Fuji one-on-one while enveloped in heat. It is equipped with an iki stove that allows self löyly, offering the ultimate sauna bath shaped by breathtaking scenery and heat.

Mount Fuji Natural Water Cold Bath

A signature cold bath that uses the underground water of Mount Fuji, which springs up after passing through the earth's natural filter, without a chiller and in continuous flow. The water feels unbelievably smooth on the skin, with no sharpness at all and a meltingly pleasant texture. The natural water from the tap is so pure that it evokes Shikiji and is delicious enough to drink as is. You can cool both body and mind while fully savoring Mount Fuji's famed pure water.

02COLD BATH

Bubble & Jet Cold Bath Kunkai

An extremely rare cold bath in Japan that runs a powerful bubble function and a strong jet function at the same time. The water temperature is a mild 19 to 22°C, but the intense bubbles and jets constantly shake the whole body and completely destroy the cold layer of air on the skin, so the sensation always feels fresh. It cools the body after sauna use in a remarkably refreshing and efficient way.
