"KIKI Shiretoko Natural Resort" is a hot spring resort hotel in Shari Town, Shari District, Hokkaido. Its biggest draw is four distinctive saunas produced by Totonoe Oyakata. From the immersive darkness of the Krouna, to the Neuna where you can lie back and relax, a sauna where you can enjoy self-löyly, and the Igloo Sauna scented with a wood-burning stove, you can experience a wide variety of heat sensations. After cooling down in the deep cold plunge bath, a blissful outdoor air bath awaits, as if melting into the quiet of the Shiretoko forest. The public bath is filled with a highly heat-retaining chloride spring natural hot spring, soothing travel fatigue from deep within the body.
Hot SpringONSEN
Public Bath
A public bath using sodium chloride and bicarbonate hot spring water. It has a gentle feel on the skin and features a highly heat-retaining spring quality that warms the body from deep within. In a quiet space surrounded by forest, you can slowly immerse yourself in the hot water and forget the passage of time in an open setting with views drawn in through large windows.
SaunaSAUNA
Neuna
A sauna designed for lying down. You can fully let go and enjoy the heat in a relaxed position without worrying about those around you. The steam created by self-löyly gently envelops the body and gradually encourages deep sweating.
Krouna
A sauna defined by a jet-black space, with the entire room shaped like a triangle. It features a classic Finnish-style setup, allowing you to enjoy pleasant heat from self-löyly. The dark interior creates a strong sense of immersion, letting you quietly focus on yourself without worrying about others' gaze.
Whisking Sauna
A rare sauna in Japan where you can perform self-whisking with a vihta. It is equipped with a steam generator, creating pleasant humidity and a gentle heat texture. Because the room is kept at a mild temperature, you can linger for a long time and fully enjoy the aroma.
Igloo Sauna
A hut-shaped sauna from Estonia, installed in an outdoor open-air space. As a hotel amenity, it uses a very rare wood-burning stove, and the sound of burning wood and its distinctive savory aroma stimulate the senses. Self-löyly is available, so you can fully enjoy powerful heat and the circulation of soft steam.

Cold Plunge Bath
The cold plunge bath, available for both men and women, has a depth of 120 cm and is deep enough to envelop the entire body. It quickly cools down a body heated by the sauna. A pouring-water feature is also provided, allowing you to press a button and have water poured over your head for an invigorating refresh. After the cold plunge bath, an outdoor air bath awaits, where you can become one with nature while surrounded by the clear air of Shiretoko.
