"Onsen Guesthouse The SUNSET Shiretoko" is a guesthouse in Shari, Hokkaido. From the ocean-view rooms, guests can admire beautiful sunsets over the Sea of Okhotsk. The large public bath is equipped with two types of sauna: one with a rustic design made from hinoki logs, and another Nordic-style modern sauna scented with red cedar, both offering self-löyly. After cooling down in the outdoor cold plunge bath, the highly heat-retaining natural hot spring with chloride-rich water gently envelops the body. With a public kitchen available exclusively to guests and a quiet lounge, it offers a free and comfortable stay where you can feel the great nature of Shiretoko.

A natural hot spring with sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate spring water that retains heat well and keeps you warm for a long time. Gentle on the skin, it slowly warms your tired body from within. Soaking in the quiet bath, you can spend a blissful moment unwinding both body and mind at the end of the day.

YUUMI SAUNA
This sauna is characterized by a rustic design made from hinoki logs. As its name suggests, you can admire beautiful sunsets over the Sea of Okhotsk from the windows. It is equipped with a convection stove made by HARVIA, and self-löyly is available. You can adjust the humidity and temperature to your liking and enjoy a leisurely sweat session in a quiet space filled with the scent of wood.
SAAMI SAUNA
A modern-design sauna made with red cedar. Decorated with patterns inspired by the Sami people of Northern Europe, it offers a refined atmosphere. It uses an EOS stove and also allows self-löyly. While feeling the pleasant circulation of heat and steam, you can spend a deeply relaxing time in silence.
Cold BathCOLD BATH
Cold plunge bath
An outdoor cold plunge bath. While feeling the open air, you can thoroughly cool down your body after the sauna. Because the water temperature changes with the seasons, you can enjoy a naturally refreshing chill unique to that time of year. Nearby, chairs for indoor and outdoor relaxation are also provided, allowing you to enjoy a smooth and comfortable outdoor rest.
