About Oyama Omoigawa Onsen
Oyama Omoigawa Onsen is a day-use onsen bathhouse in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture. Its many baths include a spectacular open-air bath of massive boulders overlooking the Omoigawa River, a source bath of natural onsen water and a hinoki bath. After working up a sweat in the authentic Finnish sauna, whose windows look out over the river, you can cool down pleasantly in the cold plunge, fed by a constant flow of natural groundwater. You can also stay overnight in the log house Shisuikan or use a private open-air bath, and although it stands next to a shopping mall, the place offers a refreshing retreat that feels wrapped in nature.

Starting with a wild open-air bath of massive boulders overlooking the Omoigawa River, you can make your way around many baths: a source bath kept close to body temperature so it is easy on the body, a hinoki bath fragrant with the scent of the wood, and a ceramic urn bath of Shigaraki ware. The water feels gentle on the skin and warms you to the core, so you stay warm long after bathing.
Log house Shisuikan
The log house rooms each have their own open-air bath of natural onsen water. During the day it can also be used as a private open-air bath. With the sweeping view of the Omoigawa River below all to yourself, you can bathe privately and undisturbed for as long as you like.
