About Niikappu Onsen Hotel Hills

"Niikappu Onsen Hotel Hills" is a bathing facility located on a hill in Niikappu, Hokkaido. From the open-air bath, you can take in a sweeping panorama of the Pacific Ocean, and the beauty at sunset is especially remarkable. The spring water is a sodium chloride cold mineral spring, and it is known as a bijin no yu that leaves the skin feeling smooth and silky. The indoor bath contains natural black silica stone, which helps warm the body from deep within through far-infrared effects. The sauna area offers two types of saunas, dry and mist, with men and women alternating daily. On the women’s side, a free mud-pack service is also popular. Its cultural atmosphere, rooted in a town known for records, is another highlight.

Most of what we surveyed never even made it onto this site. This book is a further cut from what did. Our editor bathed in every onsen and sauna in it, and wrote only what they confirmed on the ground.
