About Bettei Amafuruoka

"Bettei Amafuruoka" is a luxury healing resort located in the hills of Ibusuki, Kagoshima Prefecture, with a strong emphasis on privacy. The natural hot spring water gushing from the source on the expansive grounds is also known as "hi no yu" for its high moisturizing effect, leaving the skin soft and hydrated. In addition to the panoramic large public bath overlooking Kagoshima Bay, the property offers a wide range of baths that let guests feel at one with nature, including private open-air baths nestled in the forest and open-air baths in the guest rooms. In the quiet beneath a sky full of stars, guests can forget everyday life and experience the ultimate rest, as if body and mind were being renewed.

Hot SpringONSEN

Free-flow from source

Ibusuki Onsen

A natural hot spring rich in minerals, gushing from the facility's own source. It contains a high level of salt, and its excellent heat-retaining and moisturizing effects keep the body warm even after bathing, which is why it is also called "hi no yu." It has a clean, refreshing feel on the skin, yet after bathing it leaves the skin feeling so moisturized it seems to cling gently. Guests can fully enjoy its rich water quality while feeling the nature of Ibusuki in the panoramic large public bath or the open-air baths in the guest rooms.

Most of what we surveyed never even made it onto this site. This book is a further cut from what did. Our editor bathed in every onsen and sauna in it, and wrote only what they confirmed on the ground.
