Hot SpringONSEN

Large Public Bath

A bright indoor public bath with a warm wooden atmosphere reminiscent of a European mountain lodge. In addition to the jacuzzi and rain shower, it is equipped with a spring water bath using Hakkoda spring water and a mist sauna. The bathwater, filled to generous capacity, contains weakly alkaline simple hot spring water, allowing you to unwind at a relaxed pace while looking out through the large windows at the green primeval beech forest and snowy landscapes beyond.

Open-Air Bath

A free-flowing open-air bath that, rare for Hakkoda, can be enjoyed all year round, including during the snowy winter season. Feel the breath of the primeval beech forest right before your eyes on your skin as you soak in the water while listening to the soothing sound of the stream. It is a special seat where you can become one with Hakkoda's ever-changing natural beauty through the seasons—fresh spring greenery, fiery autumn leaves, and a world of snow—and at night the sky is filled with so many stars it seems they might spill over.

Guest Room Bath

A private bath with panoramic views of the primeval beech forest, available in Comfort Twin rooms and above. In a space guaranteed to be private, you can enjoy simple hot spring water whenever you like while taking in the beautiful greenery and tranquil scenery of Hakkoda all to yourself through the large window. You can spend a graceful holiday moment, undisturbed by anyone, while quietly feeling the breath of nature all around you.

SaunaSAUNA

01SAUNA

Mist Sauna

A mist sauna made from pristine spring water flowing from the foot of the Hakkoda Mountains and heated into steam. The mildly acidic, mineral-rich warm steam gently envelops your entire body, leaving your skin moisturized and hydrated as it soothes you from the outside in. You can gradually warm yourself deep to the core without placing undue strain on your body, and experience improved circulation, detox effects, and a high level of refreshment.

Spring Water Bath

A cold plunge bath that makes lavish use of the pristine spring water that bubbles up from the property, refined over many years by the vast natural environment of the Hakkoda Mountains. It offers a crisp, refreshing coolness, yet has the remarkably gentle and silky feel that only natural water can provide. It is perfect for cooling down after slowly warming up in the mist sauna, and delivers an exquisite sense of freshness that seems to tighten and refresh the body all at once.
