Koganeyu Onsen
TypeNatural Hot Spring
Since its opening in 1883, Koganeyu Onsen has been cherished as a historic, familiar place for therapeutic bathing. The hot spring emerges as if protected by a katsura tree estimated to be about 750 years old, and it is a mildly alkaline simple sulfur spring with a faint sulfur fragrance. The water is exceptionally smooth, and after bathing, the skin becomes silky, earning it a reputation as a beauty bath. In the open-air bath, you can experience "Koganebokko," a restorative soak for the mind while looking up at the mountains and feeling a pleasant breeze.
