About La Vista Kirishima Hills
"La Vista Kirishima Hills" is a Southern European-style resort hotel in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. Built on high ground in the Kirishima Onsen area, it offers every room a natural hot spring open-air bath and a terrace view bath. From the guestrooms, you can look out over Kagoshima Bay, Sakurajima, and the famous peaks of Kirishima, and enjoy the majestic scenery all to yourself while soaking in the water. Although it is a Western-style building, the large bath and private baths are consistently designed in a Japanese style, and in the open-air bath you can soak in the famous hot spring while gazing at the greenery of a Japanese garden. The large bath is equipped with a dry sauna, a mist sauna, a cold plunge bath, and a bench-style bedrock bath, and after bathing you can relax in the post-bath lounge. The three private baths, each with its own distinct atmosphere, require no reservation and are free to use, so you can enjoy them as many times as you like when they are available.
Hot SpringONSEN
Large bath
Although it is located inside a Western-style building, this is a calm large bath unified by Japanese design. The gentle waters of the simple hot spring drawn from Maruo Onsen softly envelop the skin, and the warmth lasts long after you get out. The indoor baths include a reclining bath, a silky bath, and a cascade bath, among others, so you can enjoy bathing around depending on your mood that day. Step out to the open-air bath and a well-tended Japanese garden spreads before you, letting you unwind while feeling the rustling trees and the breeze.
Private bath
There are three private baths with distinct atmospheres: cypress, rock, and barrel. No reservation is required, and if available, they can be used free of charge as many times as you like. Once you close the door, the tub and the garden view belong just to you, and you can soak in the famous hot spring without worrying about anyone else. The scent of wood and the warmth of stone rise with the steam, and as you quietly converse, the time of your journey slowly loosens.
Guestroom open-air bath
Every room is equipped with a natural hot spring open-air bath or a terrace view bath. Sink in up to your shoulders and nothing blocks your view, allowing you to enjoy the mountains of Kirishima and the scenery spread out below all to yourself. One of the real pleasures of a room bath is that you can bathe as many times as you like, whenever you like. In the clear air of morning, or wrapped in silence at night, you can slowly immerse yourself in time alone together.

A dry sauna in the large bath, which is designed in a unified Japanese style. In the quiet room, the dry heat gradually reaches deep into your body. After sitting for a while, beads of sweat appear on your forehead and your thoughts slowly begin to settle. As you keep sitting until the sweat has fully broken out, the fatigue from your journey gently loosens. It is a place where a calm sense of time flows.
Mist sauna
A mist sauna filled with soft steam. With every breath, warm moisture spreads from your throat to your chest, and the surface of your skin is enveloped in a moist layer of comfort. Even if you are not good with dry heat, it is easy to enter and you can spend time leisurely until a light sweat begins to form. In this quiet space, where outlines dissolve beyond the white mist, you can steady your breathing and gradually let the tension leave your body.

Cold plunge bath
The cold plunge bath in the large bath. It quietly cools the flushed skin and instantly calms the heat raised by the sauna. Sink in up to your shoulders and exhale, and the surface of your skin tightens while a clear sensation spreads all the way to your fingertips. If you then walk on to the open-air bath, the breeze passing through the Japanese garden gently brushes your damp body, wrapping you in a deeply blissful state of relaxation.

Bedrock bath
A bench-style bedrock bath adjoining the large bath. It can be used at no additional charge, and if you settle in between baths, the heat from the warmed stones slowly seeps into your body. In the quiet time until you begin to sweat, there is a gentle comfort different from both the bathtub and the high-temperature sauna. As you regulate your breathing, your body loosens from deep within and the fatigue of travel melts away.
