About Yuraku Sōan

"Jozankei Yuraku Sōan" is a graceful hot spring inn in Jozankei Onsen Higashi, Minami Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido, designed around the concept of a thatched hermitage. The large public bath, Iwabuki no Yu, features tatami-mat flooring and offers a wide variety of tubs, including a spacious indoor cypress bath and several open-air baths. It also comes with a full-fledged high-temperature dry sauna, a cold plunge bath kept at an ideal temperature by a chiller, and free rock baths. In addition, all guest rooms are equipped with natural cypress hot spring baths, and there are several reservation-free, free private open-air baths with different atmospheres, allowing guests to enjoy an exceptional private bathing experience.

Jozankei Onsen

A luxurious natural hot spring made by blending two private source springs. Its sodium-chloride spring quality is known as the "heat bath," because the abundant salt content in the water forms a film on the skin and prevents sweat from evaporating, giving it excellent moisturizing and heat-retaining effects. It is supplied to the large cypress indoor bath in the tatami-mat public bath, several open-air baths with different atmospheres, and the in-room baths. After bathing, your skin stays moist and hydrated, and a gentle, comforting warmth lingers.
