OgaHotel

An inn featuring an open-air rock bath of overwhelming size, the largest in Oga, and its own private hot spring source

Akita Oga City

"Oga Hotel" is a long-established hot spring hotel in Oga City, Akita Prefecture. It features Ishiyama-no-Yu, a wild and spacious open-air rock bath that is the largest of its kind in the Oga Onsenkyo area, where guests can bathe in an overwhelming sense of openness while looking out over the expansive garden. The hotel has its own private spring about 500 m away, and you can enjoy the fresh natural hot spring water drawn in and used as free-flowing source water. The indoor bath, Irie no Taki, is famous for its yubosatsu, where mineral deposits crystallize at the spout. Here, you can savor the mineral-rich hot water, known as atsunoyu, to your heart's content.

Flow-through

A large bath equipped with Ishiyama-no-Yu, a wild and full-of-character open-air rock bath, and Irie no Taki, an indoor bath, boasting one of the largest spaces in Oga Onsenkyo. The open-air bath faces a vast garden where seasonal wildflowers bloom, allowing you to enjoy freshly sourced spring water in an overwhelming sense of openness while feeling a pleasant breeze. At the spout of the indoor bath, yubosatsu has formed over many years as mineral deposits accumulated, taking on a Jizo-like shape. This salt-rich hot spring, whose composition is very similar to seawater, is atsunoyu that helps prevent you from cooling off too quickly and leaves your skin feeling moisturized.
