About Aonobi Yuyu
Aonobi Yuyu is an onsen inn in Shirogane Onsen, in Biei, Hokkaido. It sits beside a gorge, deep in the wild landscape, where you can take a long, unhurried soak surrounded by views that change with each season and the sound of Shirahige Falls. The natural onsen water is fed straight from the source, never recirculated, with no water added and no reheating, and it is known as a celebrated spring rich in minerals said to be good for the skin. The main bathhouse has a dry sauna where a pleasant heat lets you work up a good sweat, and a cold plunge to calm the flush afterward, so you can refresh body and mind in the quiet of the natural surroundings.

An open, airy main bathhouse facing the gorge. From both the indoor bath and the open-air bath you can hear the murmur of the Biei River flowing below and the sound of Shirahige Falls. The water, fed straight from the source, never recirculated, with no water added and no reheating, comes from a celebrated spring also known as Tsuewasure-no-Yu, and it is rich in natural moisturizing minerals. At night you can enjoy a blissful soak under a sky full of stars, wrapped in the sounds of nature.

- JR Sapporo Station → JR Asahikawa Station by Limited Express Kamui or Lilac (about 1 hr 25 min) → Dohoku Bus Shirogane Line, get off at Shirogane Onsen, about 1 min on foot
- Asahikawa Airport → JR Biei Station by the Rapid Lavender (about 16 min) → Dohoku Bus Shirogane Line
