About Etajimaso

"Etajimaso" is a hot spring inn in Etajima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, where both mind and body can feel refreshed. Its "Etajima Onsen" is a highly concentrated therapeutic spring containing radon, fed by fossil seawater estimated to be about 120 million years old, rising from 1,700 m below the surface. Thanks to the double moisturizing effect of its chloride and sulfate springs, it is known as a "beauty bath." The large public bath features a "free-flowing, lukewarm source bath" that lets guests experience the spring water at its original temperature without heating or adding water, as well as an open-air bath, a reclining bath, and a steam sauna. There is also a half-open-air private bath exclusively for overnight guests, allowing visitors to enjoy a high-quality hot spring retreat alongside the island's nature and art.

Free-flow from source

Etajima Onsen

"Lukewarm source bath" used as free-flowing water with neither heating nor added water, at the spring's original temperature. The source is fossil seawater estimated to be about 120 million years old, making it an exceptionally luxurious famous spring containing radon. Its ideal lukewarm temperature is pleasantly cool without being cold, so you can soak for a long time, gently stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system and leading both mind and body into a deeply relaxed state.

Etajima Onsen (Indoor Bath, Open-Air Bath)

A strong saline hot spring that rises from 1,700 m below the surface of the deep sea. It combines the characteristics of a chloride spring and a sulfate spring, and its mineral concentration is about 26 times the standard level, earning it the name "the bath of double moisturizing and heat retention." Guests can fully enjoy luxurious bathing in a variety of tubs, including the open, spacious indoor bath in the large public bath, the open-air bath where you can feel the sea breeze with all five senses, and the reclining bath where you can stretch out and relax.

Steam Sauna

Men'sWomen's

A gentle, warming steam sauna located next to the large public bath. The room is filled with mild steam, making it easy to breathe while keeping the whole body comfortably moist. Because it does not have the intense, stifling heat typical of saunas, even those who dislike hot saunas can enjoy a leisurely sweat. Alternating between this and the source-temperature lukewarm bath offers an exceptionally high level of relaxation.
