"Sumie Chita" is a luxurious hot spring inn for adults in Utsumi, Minamichita Town, Chita District, Aichi Prefecture. This tranquil retreat is reserved for guests aged 18 and over, with an exceptional ocean view stretching out before you, overlooking Chidorigahama, one of the most beautiful beaches on the Chita Peninsula. It features an all-inclusive style, so you can enjoy drinks and private baths without worrying about extra charges. In the large public bath, Tsuki no Yu, there is Japan's first mass-market hinoki bucket bath, created by a master craftsman of hinoki cypress. Together with Matsu no Yu, a sukiya-style bath, you can fully savor the famed Utsumi Onsen, said to help prevent dry skin, while surrounded by the rich fragrance of hinoki. From the newly added open-air bath on the rooftop, Tenjo no Yu, you can take in a moving panorama where the sea and sky seem to melt into one.

Large Public Bath Utsumi Onsen

You can enjoy Utsumi Onsen, a strong chloride spring containing sodium and calcium, via transported bathwater in two luxurious large public baths scented with hinoki cypress: Tsuki no Yu and Matsu no Yu. It is a beautiful skin-beautifying bath with excellent heat retention and moisturizing effects after bathing, said to leave the skin smooth. Tsuki no Yu, created by hinoki master craftsman Eiichi Hara, features Japan's first mass-market hinoki bucket bath, while Matsu no Yu is distinguished by its elegant sukiya-style design. Here, you can enjoy the hot spring in the utmost tranquility, surrounded by the warmth of traditional wooden craftsmanship.

Rooftop Sky Open-Air Bath

A newly added observation open-air bath on the hotel rooftop, with outstanding panoramic views overlooking Chidorigahama in Ise Bay. This is a heated bath. You can look out over the vast boundary between the unobstructed sky and sea, and enjoy an open, refreshing soak while feeling the pleasant ocean breeze. At dusk, the sight of the sky turning crimson and reflecting on the surface of the water is breathtakingly beautiful. Guests may also use it privately as a reserved open-air bath. In the morning, it is available on an alternating basis for men and women.
