SaromaLakeTsurugaResort

An inn with Wakka no Yu, a renowned iron-rich spring offering views of the sunset over Saroma Lake, and a highly perspiring Nordic dry sauna

Hokkaido Kitami City

"Saroma Lake Tsuruga Resort" is a full-scale resort hotel on the shores of Saroma Lake in Tokoro, Kitami, Hokkaido. The large baths overlooking Saroma Lake include a rustic "Japanese-style large bath" with massive rocks and a modern, refined "Nordic-style large bath," with men and women alternating by day. The hot spring is the extremely rare private source "Wakka no Yu," a sodium, magnesium, calcium, iron chloride cold mineral spring rich in iron, whose iron and salt seep deeply into the body and deliver exceptional heat retention as a "healing hot spring." The adjoining simple dry sauna, the crisp cold plunge bath, and the premium relaxation space facing Saroma Lake create the ultimate meditative sauna experience.

Natural Hot Spring Wakka no Yu

TypeNatural Hot Spring

An exceptionally rare hot spring in Japan, known as "Atsu no Yu," with an extremely high concentration of iron and salt. The brownish cloudy water (with water dilution and temperature adjustment) clings gently to the skin and helps retain body heat, showing extremely high effectiveness for sensitivity to cold and joint pain. From the rock-stacked Japanese-style open-air bath and the open Nordic-style indoor and open-air baths, you can luxuriate in sweeping panoramic views of Saroma Lake's sunset and fishing fires.
