"Yufuri Nasu Takao Onsen Lodge, a no-frills inn" is a self-service hot spring inn in Nasu Town, Nasu District, Tochigi Prefecture, that does away with traditional hospitality. It draws from its own source of Takao Onsen, a hidden hot spring that has continued since the Edo period, and its cloudy sulfur spring, rich in metasilicic acid, helps promote beautiful skin. The views from the 1,000 m-high plateau are magnificent, and guests can enjoy the luxurious experience of doing nothing at the mixed-gender, free-flowing hot spring scenic lukewarm bath called the Sky Open-Air Pool, as well as in the large public bath.
A large public bath where you can enjoy Takao Gensen, bubbling up in the quiet forests of Nasu Takao, embraced by nature at an elevation of 1,000 meters. It is rich in metasilicic acid, a beauty ingredient, and is known for its gentle, smooth texture that feels like natural lotion. From the large windows of the indoor bath and from the open-air bath, you can look out over the magnificent plateau scenery that changes with the passing of time.
A luxurious mixed-gender large open-air bath with a pleasantly lukewarm temperature, filled directly with freshly drawn water from its own source, with no added water, heating, or circulation. The sweeping mountains and unobstructed sky seen from 1,000 meters above sea level are breathtaking.
