"Ogawa Onsen Motoyu Hotel Ogawa" is an onsen ryokan in Asahi Town, Shimoniikawa District, Toyama Prefecture. Surrounded by the mountains of the Northern Alps and tucked away quietly along a mountain stream, it is a lone inn in a secluded setting. Since its opening in 1617, it has been loved for more than 400 years for its "kōnodama no yu" and "toji no yu," which can be enjoyed in luxurious free-flowing natural hot spring water. In addition to the fully glass-walled large public bath, it also features a giant cypress barrel open-air bath and a rock open-air bath. Furthermore, a short walk along the valley leads to the Natural Monument-designated "Natural Cave Open-Air Bath" and the women-only "Renge no Yu," allowing guests to enjoy an extraordinary bathing journey embraced by untouched nature.

A signature open-air bath designated as a natural monument in Asahi Town, located about a 7- to 8-minute walk from the inn along a path rich in nature. A bath is built inside a mysterious cave formed over many years by the hardening of mineral deposits from the hot spring. Guests can enjoy bathing in a powerful, untouched natural space. The spring naturally wells up from near the cave ceiling, letting you feel the breath of the ancient earth directly on your skin. This is a one-of-a-kind mixed-gender open-air bath.
