"Unazuki Onsen Entaiji-so" is a long-established hot spring ryokan in Kurobe City, Toyama Prefecture, founded in 1900. Nestled along a mountain stream in the Kurobe Gorge, it has a proud history of being cherished by many cultural figures, including Yumeji Takehisa, Akiko Yosano, and Yasunari Kawabata. The large public bath, Kei no Yu, features a scenic open-air bath where you can enjoy close-up views of the Kurobe River below and the mountains of the gorge rising before you. The hot spring water is a clear, weakly alkaline simple spring drawn from Kuronagi, rich in metasilicic acid, and is beloved as Tsubetsube Bijin no Yu, a skin-beautifying bath with excellent effects. Superb cuisine made with abundant seafood from Toyama Bay also adds color to the journey.

Large Public Bath Unazuki Onsen

The large public bath, Kei no Yu, comes with an open-air bath that lets you take in a panoramic view of the rich mountains of Kurobe Gorge stretching out before you and the clear waters of the Kurobe River flowing below. The spacious, open indoor bath can accommodate about 80 people and also offers views of the great outdoors. The water, drawn from the Kuronagi spring, is rich in metasilicic acid, which is also found in lotion, and is known as Tsubetsube Bijin no Yu, a skin-beautifying bath that leaves skin smooth and silky and gently melts away everyday fatigue from deep within.
