About Shiratama no Yu Senkei

"Shiratama no Yu Senkei" is one of Japan's most renowned hot spring inns, located in Tsukioka Onsen in Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture, and has even been ranked No. 1 in the tourism industry in Japan. Its privately drilled natural hot spring, "Shiratama no Yu," is a beautiful emerald-green bath with one of the highest sulfur contents in Japan. Guests can luxuriate in a wide variety of baths, including a dynamic open-air rock bath facing a vast garden, a cypress bath, and reclining baths. The large public bath also features a renovated large sauna with auto löyly, a pleasantly chilled cold plunge bath, and plenty of reclining chairs for outdoor air baths, offering the ultimate in relaxation.

Large Public Bath Shiratama no Yu

You can fully enjoy Tsukioka's famous spring, Shiratama no Yu, which boasts one of the highest sulfur contents in Japan, in the grand-scale large public baths "Tsukikagami" and "Hanakagami." The emerald-green water has a smooth, silky texture and is cherished as an exceptional beauty bath that leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth just by soaking in it. You can move between a variety of baths, including a dramatic open-air rock bath where you can admire the changing beauty of the garden through the seasons, a warm cypress bath, and reclining baths where you can relax while looking up at the blue sky or the starry night sky.

A comfortable sauna for one person, located right in front of the large public bath. The spacious room, wrapped in fresh, clean wood, is quiet and meditative, with no TV or background music. Auto löyly periodically pours water onto the sauna stones, filling the room with gentle, mellow heat that warms the body from deep within and encourages abundant sweating. Hand fans for self-feeling the heat are also provided, creating an exceptional sauna experience.

A comfortable cold plunge bath for one person, placed right in front of the sauna room. Set to a moderately cool temperature, it gently envelops your post-sauna body, allowing you to cool down comfortably without being too cold. After letting yourself sink into the water and calmly lowering your heart rate, you can experience the ultimate rest in a reclining totonoi chair with a reclining function in the nearby outdoor air bath area, while enjoying a pleasant breeze.
