Hot Spring & Bath Information

Large Bath Sulfur Spring

TypeNatural Hot Spring

Flow-through

A milky white hot spring representing Noboribetsu Onsen, with a strong acidity of pH 2.4. This highly acidic water is said to have excellent sterilizing power, soften dead skin cells, and be highly effective for skin conditions. The atmospheric bath, with its distinctive sulfur scent, is the very image of hot spring paradise, letting you fully savor an indulgent bathing experience. Luxurious source water flowing directly from the spring blends gently into the skin.

Large Bath Saline Spring

TypeNatural Hot Spring

Flow-through

A saline spring known as the heat bath because it warms the body thoroughly from the core. The salt coats the skin like a veil, preventing sweat from evaporating and delivering outstanding heat-retaining effects. It stimulates blood circulation in the skin, and the warmth lingers long after you leave the bath. Especially appealing for helping relieve chills and fatigue, its soft water feel gently soothes both body and mind.

Large Bath Acidic Green Vitriol Spring

TypeNatural Hot Spring

Flow-through

An acidic green vitriol spring with a distinctive hydrogen sulfide scent and strong sterilizing power. The sulfur components and iron contained abundantly in the water gently soften hardened skin and dead skin cells, leaving the skin smooth and beautifully polished. The bathing sensation is highly distinctive, offering a powerful spring quality that lets you feel the medicinal effects of the hot spring with your whole body. Enjoy a luxurious tour of the baths with source water flowing directly from the earth’s blessings.

Large Bath Sodium Bicarbonate Spring

TypeNatural Hot Spring

Flow-through

A sodium bicarbonate spring long praised as a beauty bath, because it emulsifies oils and leaves the skin smooth. The iron contained in the spring oxidizes on contact with air, giving the water a faint reddish hue. It is neutral and gentle on the skin, offering a soft, enveloping bathing sensation. There is also a drinking spring area, so you can feel the power of the hot spring both from the outside and from within.

Large Bath Glauber’s Salt Spring

TypeNatural Hot Spring

Flow-through

With a hydrogen ion concentration of 2.2, this is the most acidic spring in the facility, and it has long been cherished as the healing bath for wounds. Thanks to its strong acidity, it is said to have excellent sterilizing effects and to help improve injuries and arteriosclerosis. Its crisp, tightening bathing feel is distinctive, and simply soaking in it lets you sense the powerful energy of the earth. Fresh source water flowing directly from the spring gently loosens the body.

Large Bath Kinzo no Yu

TypeNatural Hot Spring

Flow-through

"Kinzo no Yu" is a bath that recreates the tub once built in a corner of the open-air bath by the first-generation owner, Kinzo Takimoto, for the wife he adored. This small bath, filled with warmth and history, contains premium source water flowing directly from the spring at 100% strength, with no added water and no reheating at all. In its cozy, private atmosphere, you can reflect on the origins of Noboribetsu Onsen while enjoying an indulgent, top-tier hot spring experience.
