"Toya Sun Palace Resort & Spa" is a large lake resort hotel in Sobetsu, Usu District, Hokkaido. Its spacious public bath features a rare semi-open-air structure with fully retractable openings, offering sweeping panoramic views of Lake Toya. In the standing open-air bath, where you can feel as if you are one with the lake, you can enjoy the gentle waters of the sodium chloride and sulfate spring, known for its excellent heat-retaining properties. A spectacular open-air bath with Nakanoshima, the symbol of Lake Toya, right in front of you. Resting against the edge of the standing bath gives you a curious sense of immersion, as if you were soaking in the lake itself. At night, it becomes a premium viewing spot for the long-running fireworks festival, letting you take in the vividly colored, magnificent fireworks while soaking in the bath—a truly luxurious experience.

Sauna & Cold Bath
This dry sauna, attached to the public bath area, supports self-löyly. Pour water over the sauna stones and enjoy the rising steam and comforting heat that envelop your whole body. In front of the spectacular view of Lake Toya through the window, work up a deep sweat, then cool your heated body in the refreshing cold plunge bath. If you relax in a chair in the open-air bath area, the clear air and pleasant breeze will gently wash over you, leading you into a refreshing moment embraced by nature.
