About La Vista Akan River
"La Vista Akan River" is a hot spring resort hotel in Kushiro, Hokkaido. Nestled in the deep forests of Akan-Mashu National Park, with the Akan River flowing right in front, it offers free-flowing hot spring water from its own source, which naturally bubbles up on the property by the riverbank. The large bath features rustic indoor and open-air baths, where you can soak while listening to the gentle murmur of the stream. The three private baths, each with a different atmosphere in brick, hinoki cypress, and pottery, are free and require no reservation, so you can slip into the water whenever one is available. Every guest room has a hinoki cypress observatory bath filled with free-flowing water from the source, and dinner is a kaiseki meal showcasing Hokkaido’s seasonal ingredients. After bathing, ice pops and late-night ramen await.

Large Bath
A large bath that uses the property's own source, which naturally bubbles up by the riverbank, with free-flowing water straight from the source. It features indoor and open-air baths, and its unadorned, rustic design blends into the scenery of Akan's forests and river. This simple hot spring contains a high amount of iron, and the water may become cloudy depending on the season. As you let your ears follow the breeze across the water and the sound of the stream, a gentle warmth slowly spreads to the core of your body. The river views that change with the seasons fill the bathing time with quiet beauty.
Private Bath
These private baths come with three tubs of different styles: brick, hinoki cypress, and pottery. All are filled with free-flowing water from the same private source as the large bath. They are free and do not require reservations. Check availability on the sign at the entrance, and you can slip into the water whenever the mood strikes. You can quietly enjoy the bath without having to worry about anyone else.
Open-Air Bath in Guest Rooms
The hinoki cypress observatory bath in every guest room is a natural hot spring with free-flowing water from the source. In river-facing rooms, a large window opens onto the flow of the Akan River and the deep forest, and once you sink into the bath, you can take in the entire view all to yourself. Since fresh hot water can be drawn with the push of a button, you can enjoy a bath whenever you please, whether in the morning or late at night. Wrapped in the scent of hinoki cypress and the soft texture of the water, time flows quietly.
