Large Bath (East Wing)
The East Wing’s large bath sits on higher ground. It has both an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and when you sink into the open-air bath, Lake Biwa spreads out before you, with Okishima on the lake and the Hira Mountains across the water all within view. The simple hot spring, a low-mineral, mildly alkaline low-temperature spring that first gushed in Ohmihachiman City, is gentle on the skin, and its warmth lingers long after you leave the bath. Bathing while the lake turns red at dusk or soaking in the clear morning light is a luxury unique to this inn.
