About Kakyu Mura Noto Chirihama

"Kakyu Mura Noto Chirihama" is a hot spring hotel in Hakui City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Standing at the entrance to the Noto Peninsula and surrounded by pine forest along the Sea of Japan, it offers easy walking access to the Chirihama Nagisa Driveway, where you can drive along the sand. Its pride is the large public bath, filled with free-flowing water from its own hot spring source. The sodium chloride and sulfate spring water is so soft that it is described as having a silky texture. The stone outdoor bath features a row of tsubo-yu tubs with different water temperatures, while the indoor bath is a Japanese-style space decorated with motifs inspired by Wajima lacquer maki-e and Kaga Yuzen. A sauna is also available, and after bathing you can relax in the tatami-matted rest area. It is a stay-oriented inn that also offers stargazing sessions at the observatory and kaiseki meals featuring seasonal delicacies from Noto's satoyama and satoumi.

Hot SpringONSEN

Free-flow from source

Large Public Bath

A natural hot spring with free-flowing water directly from its own source. The spring is sodium chloride and sulfate water, moist and gentle, and so familiar to the skin that it is described as having a silky texture. Because it contains salt, the water helps keep you warm long after you get out. In the stone outdoor bath, tsubo-yu tubs with different water temperatures are lined up, and if you sink into your own private tub, all you hear is the sound of the wind passing through the pine forest. The indoor bath is a Japanese-style space decorated with motifs inspired by Wajima lacquer maki-e and Kaga Yuzen, letting you soak while surrounded by the aesthetic sensibilities handed down through Kaga and Noto.

Sauna

Men'sWomen's

A sauna attached to the large public bath. It is available only from the afternoon into the evening, so you can work up a sweat in rhythm with your stay, whether once at dusk or again before bedtime. In this quiet room with no flashy effects, the heat slowly moves from the surface of the body inward. Your stiff back and shoulders, worn out from travel, loosen up, and the fatigue of a day spent in the Noto breeze seems to melt away with the sweat.

Most of what we surveyed never even made it onto this site. This book is a further cut from what did. Our editor bathed in every onsen and sauna in it, and wrote only what they confirmed on the ground.
