Main bathhouse
The water is a simple weakly radioactive cold mineral spring, a natural radium onsen that contains radon. There are two panoramic baths, one large and one small, each divided into men’s and women’s sides. Soft against the skin with no hard edges, the water leaves a gentle heat that lingers, keeping you warm well after you get out. The larger bath looks out on a tropical-feeling plaza lined with palm trees; the other takes in the islands of the Seto Inland Sea, layer upon layer. In the latter, on the west side, you can soak with the sun setting into the sea straight ahead. Open from early morning until late at night, the baths let you savor, from the water, the light and the moods of the sea as they shift through the day.
