Main bathhouse
The water is a sodium–chloride and hydrogen carbonate cold mineral spring (hypotonic, alkaline, cold mineral spring). The indoor bath, glazed on every side, is as bright as a piece cut straight from the seascape of Tateyama Bay, and the deeper you sink into the water, the more your line of sight merges with the horizon. In the open-air bath, set where it juts out toward the sea, you bathe wrapped in the sea breeze and the sound of the waves, with a view that takes in the Miura Peninsula, Mount Nokogiri, the Southern Alps and, when conditions line up, even Mount Fuji. The benefits officially listed include relief for neuralgia, sensitivity to cold and fatigue, and the hour of sunset and the starlit night bring scenery found only in this bath.
