About Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Yoshinoya Irokuen
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Yoshinoya Irokuen is an onsen inn in Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture. It sits beside Kakusenkei Gorge in Yamanaka Onsen, famed for some of the finest gorge scenery in the Hokuriku region, and offers an elegant setting shaped by the aesthetic traditions of Kaga Yuzen. The inn has TOTONOI, one of the largest dedicated sauna areas in Japan, with a dry sauna scented with Kaga Bocha tea and a barrel sauna available for private use. On the wood deck, you can enjoy cooling off in the open air to the sound of the river. In the basement main bathhouse, sink into the gentle waters of a simple onsen while gazing at the magnificent ceiling paintings. The open-air bath looks down on the rushing Daishoji River. Some rooms also have their own open-air bath, making this an immersive wellness retreat that delights all five senses.

[Main Bathhouse and Open-Air Bath] Basho-no-Yu
The men’s main bathhouse is on basement level 1. Beautiful ceiling paintings adorn the indoor bath, creating a magnificent atmosphere. The open-air bath overlooks the rushing Daishoji River and the lush natural landscape of Kakusenkei Gorge, where the sound of flowing water accompanies a refreshing bathing experience.

The women’s main bathhouse is on basement level 1. Like the men’s bath, its indoor bath is adorned with atmospheric ceiling paintings that lend the space a calming Japanese character. The gentle, skin-friendly waters of a simple onsen retain warmth well and envelop the body. Step into the open-air bath for a blissful moment as the beautiful scenery of Kakusenkei Gorge and the sound of the river delight all five senses.

A full-fledged, high-temperature dry sauna where you can enjoy löyly you pour yourself with Kaga Bocha tea. Through the large windows, Kakusenkei Gorge unfolds, famed for some of the finest gorge scenery in the Hokuriku region. A private barrel sauna in an open-air outdoor space, available by reservation and newly updated from the former tent sauna. Its distinctive barrel shape helps distribute heat evenly, and you can enjoy a full-fledged sauna experience enveloped in the scent of wood. Surrounded by nature and undisturbed by others, make the most of a private tot onou session with your group.

A cold plunge in the dedicated TOTONOI sauna area. After working up a good sweat in the dry or barrel sauna, enjoy the refreshing sensation as the cold pulls your body taut. Then head straight to the adjoining open-air space on the wood deck, where you can settle into an infinity chair and cool off in the open air while taking in the sweeping views of Kakusenkei Gorge and the sound of the river.

Warm-stone room
A warm-stone room in the women’s area of the dedicated sauna zone. Lie down in the special garment provided, and far-infrared heat from natural minerals gradually warms you through to your core and encourages a comfortable sweat. Guests with tattoos, including tattoo-like stickers and body paint, may not use the main bathhouse. However, guests whose tattoos can be completely covered by two 10 cm x 14 cm cover stickers may use the main bathhouse if they wear the designated cover stickers. Cover stickers are available at the front desk for ¥220 each, including tax.
