About Hotel Bear Monte, Higashikawa and Asahidake Onsen

"Hotel Bear Monte, Higashikawa and Asahidake Onsen" is a resort hotel located within Daisetsuzan National Park in Kamikawa District, Hokkaido. Surrounded by pristine nature with a close view of Mt. Asahidake, Hokkaido's highest peak, it offers a serene stay far removed from the bustle of everyday life. The colorless, clear, and gentle natural hot spring has long been known as a healing bath for wounds. You can fully enjoy this mountain-sourced water in the large bath. In addition, the large bath area features a self-löyly sauna and a mist sauna, while outdoors there is a mountain-foot open-air sauna where you can breathe in the great outdoors with your whole body. Together with guest rooms filled with the warmth of wood, it provides the ultimate relaxation.

Cold BathCOLD BATH

Cold plunge bath (open-air area)

An outdoor cold plunge bath adjacent to the mountain-foot open-air sauna area. Together with the cool air of Daisetsuzan, it can quickly tighten your flushed body. Because it is directly connected to the natural environment, the sensation of coolness changes with the seasons, and in winter it offers an even sharper, icy cooldown. Its rugged, wild appeal lies in the experience of an intense winter chill. (The cold plunge bath is unavailable during the winter extreme cold season.)
