About Himeyado Hanakazashi
Himeyado Hanakazashi is an onsen ryokan in Gamagori, Aichi Prefecture. Set on high ground on the Nishiura Peninsula with sweeping views over Mikawa Bay, it is a quiet, adults-only inn built around a “women first” philosophy. Its own source, Gamagori Onsen’s Bihakusen, is a simple alkaline spring that is gentle on the skin and leaves it smooth after bathing. There are two main bathhouses: the airy all-hinoki bath and the tatami bath, soft and soothing underfoot. In the open-air bath looking out over Mikawa Bay, you can let the hours drift by as you feel the sea breeze. Seasonal creative Japanese kaiseki made generously with local ingredients and Himeyado Neko, where you can spend time with the inn’s charming rescued cats, complete a special escape from everyday life that soothes body and mind.

Main bathhouse – all-hinoki bath
An airy main bathhouse built entirely of hinoki. The wide bath brims with Gamagori’s celebrated Bihakusen water, and wrapped in the warmth and rich scent of the wood, you can take in beautiful ocean views of Mikawa Bay for as long as you like. In this spacious room, time flows slowly and soothingly.
Main bathhouse – tatami bath
A Japanese-style main bathhouse with tatami laid everywhere from the washing area to the edge of the bath. The floor is soft and slip-resistant underfoot, so you can relax without worry. Soak slowly in the skin-friendly, simple alkaline Bihakusen water amid calming Japanese décor, and a blissful warmth spreads through you to the core.
Open-air bath – Tensho-no-Yu
An open-air bath with a spectacular view down over Mikawa Bay. Enjoy the celebrated Bihakusen water, light and clean on the skin, while bathing in the fresh morning sun or watching distant lights twinkle at night. Soak as a pleasant sea breeze drifts past, and you can sink into a deep relaxation that feels like becoming one with nature.
