About JURIN

JURIN is a highland resort hotel in Zao Onsen, in Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture. Renovated in 2022 as a “wood-fire resort for living among the trees,” it offers a stay at one with nature, from relaxing in the wood-fire lounge to strolling through the herb garden. For bathing, there is Jurin-no-Yu, with milky-white, strongly acidic sulfur-bearing water fed straight from the source, never recirculated, and the open-air bath Kamoshika-no-Yu, along with Asunaro-no-Yu, a mildly alkaline artificial onsen that is gentle on the skin, so you can try baths of quite different character. There is also an outdoor private sauna overlooking the ski slopes, for superb time cooling off in the open air.
