About BED’n ONSEN HAMMOND

BED’n ONSEN HAMMOND is a casual onsen inn in Zao Onsen, Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture, run mainly on a room-only basis. Its log-built onsen bathhouse keeps the atmosphere of an old-time hot-spring cure retreat, and milky-white natural onsen water flows into it, fed straight from the source, never recirculated. It is among the most strongly acidic water even at Zao Onsen and is known as “nature’s beauty serum.” Kachofugetsu, a rustic open-air bath with its own sauna and cold plunge, lets you cool off in the open air as the trees change with the seasons around you. Inside there is a designer lounge with a simple kitchen, along with table tennis and billiards, for an unpretentious, relaxed stay on your own terms.
