Sep 27–28, 2025 Kagawa Sauna Journey

With just a night or two, you can have the ultimate sauna trip—I'm certain of this from experience. Besides, you don't need to travel far; Shikoku is home to many wonderful hot spring and sauna facilities. This time, I visited Golden Time Takamatsu in Takamatsu City and Iyadani Onsen Daishi no Yu in Mitoyo City, both in Kagawa Prefecture. Let me share my experiences of scorching hot saunas, single-digit cold baths, open-air bathing completely exposed to surrounding buildings, and supremely relaxing hot spring indulgence.
