Akita Senboku City
An onsen village made up of seven inns, embraced by the primeval beech forests of Towada-Hachimantai National Park in Akita Prefecture. Each inn has its own hot spring source and water quality, allowing you to tour everything from milky-white sulfur springs to colorless, clear bicarbonate springs in a single stay. In winter, it is cut off by deep snow and is known as one of Japan's most celebrated hidden hot springs.
