Shiobara Onsen Village

A hot spring village in Tochigi with a 1,200-year history, where eleven hot spring sources are scattered along the gorge of the Hoho River. Within just a few kilometers, six different types of spring water emerge, and the color of the baths also varies from inn to inn, from milky white to brown. Suspension bridges spanning the gorge and famous autumn foliage spots line the area, making this a mountain hot spring retreat where you can enjoy both hot spring hopping and strolls.
