À propos de Gensen no Yado Hagihonjin

A hot spring inn built on a hill overlooking the streets of Hagi, not far from the World Heritage site of Matsushita Village School. In the bathhouse district "Yunomaru", which recreates the atmosphere of Hagi's castle town, the two buildings "Tsubaki no Yu" and "Momiji no Yu" are arranged in a corridor-style layout, allowing guests to tour a total of 14 baths in 7 types each for men and women. With features such as the earth-wall open-air bath, the castle-wall open-air bath, Tachi no Ma where you bathe while standing, and Aruki no Ma where you can walk in water up to your ankles, each space is designed with its own distinctive concept, turning hot spring bathing into a leisure activity of "bath hopping." From the corridors centered around the garden, you can feel the changing seasons.

OnsenONSEN

Bain 1

The baths use a calcium-sodium chloride spring from the facility's own source, drilled from 2,350 m underground, and heated before use. Although colorless and clear, it has a distinct salty taste and a rich, full-bodied quality. If the weather is clear, you can savor the atmosphere of Hagi's castle town with your whole body, surrounded by a sky full of stars and the sound of trees swaying in the wind.

Corridor-style bath-hopping bath complex (Tachi no Ma, Aruki no Ma, and more)

A variety of baths arranged in a corridor around the garden, allowing guests to tour 14 types in total, 7 for men and 7 for women. Tachi no Ma, with a water depth of 120 cm, is a rare design that lets you soak up to your shoulders while standing, helping promote blood circulation, while in Aruki no Ma, where the water reaches your ankles, you can bathe while walking, almost like a foot massage. There is also Ashi Yasumi no Ma, where you scoop hot spring water into a bucket and enjoy it, making this a luxurious bathhouse district that gathers many different bathing experiences into one facility.

SaunaSAUNA

01SAUNA

Karakara no Ma

HommesFemmes

A medium-low temperature, high-humidity sauna where automated löyly is activated every hour at :00 and :30. A convection-style electric stove is installed, and the rising steam steadily increases the humidity to promote deep sweating. A quiet space with classical music and no TV.

Bain froidCOLD BATH

01COLD BATH
Eau courante

Source-fed cold plunge bath

HommesFemmes

A cold plunge bath after sauna, continuously supplied with non-heated natural spring water in a tsubo-yu style bath. Although the temperature is relatively mild at around 28 to 29°C, the smooth feel unique to the chloridespring creates an exceptional sensation you cannot experience elsewhere. Lying back in the one-person tsubo-yu, you do not simply cool your skin with coldness, but slowly sink into the softness of the spring for a unique cool-down experience.

02COLD BATH

Tap water cold plunge bath

HommesFemmes

A tsubo-yu style cold plunge bath with running tap water, also equipped with a bubble feature. It provides a firmer cooling sensation than the source-fed cold plunge bath, tightening the body, while still remaining comfortable enough to stay in for a long time. After sauna, you can first remove the heat in this cold plunge bath, then continue with a second-stage cool-down by entrusting yourself to the source-fed cold plunge bath.
