A bathhouse district recreating Hagi's castle town, an inn where you can find your balance with 14 types of bath hopping and a cold plunge bath fed by the source

Yamaguchi Ville de Hagi

A hot spring inn built on a hill overlooking the streets of Hagi, not far from the World Heritage site of Matsushita Village School. In the bathhouse district "Yunomaru", which recreates the atmosphere of Hagi's castle town, the two buildings "Tsubaki no Yu" and "Momiji no Yu" are arranged in a corridor-style layout, allowing guests to tour a total of 14 baths in 7 types each for men and women. With features such as the earth-wall open-air bath, the castle-wall open-air bath, Tachi no Ma where you bathe while standing, and Aruki no Ma where you can walk in water up to your ankles, each space is designed with its own distinctive concept, turning hot spring bathing into a leisure activity of "bath hopping." From the corridors centered around the garden, you can feel the changing seasons.

Onsen et bains

Bain 1

TypeSource thermale naturelle

The baths use a calcium-sodium chloride spring from the facility's own source, drilled from 2,350 m underground, and heated before use. Although colorless and clear, it has a distinct salty taste and a rich, full-bodied quality. If the weather is clear, you can savor the atmosphere of Hagi's castle town with your whole body, surrounded by a sky full of stars and the sound of trees swaying in the wind.

TypeBain thématique

A variety of baths arranged in a corridor around the garden, allowing guests to tour 14 types in total, 7 for men and 7 for women. Tachi no Ma, with a water depth of 120 cm, is a rare design that lets you soak up to your shoulders while standing, helping promote blood circulation, while in Aruki no Ma, where the water reaches your ankles, you can bathe while walking, almost like a foot massage. There is also Ashi Yasumi no Ma, where you scoop hot spring water into a bucket and enjoy it, making this a luxurious bathhouse district that gathers many different bathing experiences into one facility.
