“Shinshu Takamori Onsen” is a day-use hot spring facility in Takamori Town, Shimoina District, Nagano Prefecture. It is also extremely convenient to access, about 4 minutes by car from the Chuo Expressway’s Zakoji Smart IC. Its biggest appeal is the magnificent panoramic view of the Southern Alps mountains spreading out before you. From the open-air bath with its spacious, liberating atmosphere, you can fully enjoy the seasonal scenery and the silky feel of the simple weak radioactive hot spring. In the authentic high-temperature dry sauna, heat-wave löyly events are also held regularly. The outdoor area is equipped with a “totonoi zone,” where you can lean back in an infinity chair and enjoy the ultimate outdoor air bath while feeling the refreshing mountain breeze.
A natural hot spring with an alkaline pH of 9.2 and a gentle, skin-smoothing feel. The spacious open-air bath, with its superb sense of openness and panoramic views of the majestic Southern Alps right in front of you, is a major highlight. In addition, both the men’s and women’s baths are equipped with a “totonoi zone,” where you can enjoy the ultimate outdoor air bath while feeling the pleasant mountain breeze in an infinity chair or similar seat.
A quiet high-temperature dry sauna surrounded by the mountains of the Southern Alps. With no TV or BGM by design, this serene space is filled with a strong, pleasant heat in a room kept at a firmly high temperature. In the men’s bath sauna, heat-wave löyly events are held regularly, letting you enjoy an exhilarating rush of powerful hot air and plenty of sweat.
A well-chilled cold plunge bath equipped in the large bath area. Kept at an ideal temperature, it crisply and refreshingly cools down your heated body after the sauna. The water is of good quality and feels pleasant on the skin, helping your body tighten up nicely.
[Day-use bathing] Weekdays and Sundays 10:00〜22:00 (last entry 21:00), Fridays and Saturdays 10:00〜23:00 (last entry 22:00). *Closed every Tuesday (open if Tuesday falls on a public holiday). *A long-term closure is planned for a full renovation starting June 11, 2026 (reopening planned for April 2027).
