In a beautifully clean space renovated while carrying on the history cherished since the Taisho era, you can fully enjoy the high-quality skin-beautifying waters of Togura Kamiyamada Onsen straight from the source. Both the men’s and women’s baths are equipped with large, authentic Finnish-style saunas, and with daily aroma löyly services, it is highly satisfying for sauna enthusiasts as well. The outdoor bathing area, with its superb location overlooking the Chikuma River and the mountains of Shinshu, offers an exceptional open-air relaxation experience.

Togura Kamiyamada Onsen

Because the source temperature is slightly low, the water is heated before being fed in, but you can still fully enjoy the exceptional open-air bath with the source water flowing directly from the spring, famed as the skin-beautifying waters of Togura Kamiyamada Onsen. This weakly alkaline simple hot spring is extremely gentle on the skin, leaving it moist and smooth after bathing. A luxurious soak is guaranteed, with a breathtaking view of the majestic Chikuma River and the mountain ranges of Shinshu right before your eyes, soothing both body and mind.

A Finnish-style sauna equipped with a large convection stove (iki). The room is wrapped in a comfortable heat. Aroma löyly service is offered by staff every day, allowing you to experience pleasant sweating through steam infused with heated aroma oils. The spacious interior is modern and filled with the scent of wood, creating a pleasant space where you can quietly work up a sweat while watching TV.

A clean, women-only Finnish-style sauna with a large convection stove. The room is kept at a comfortable temperature, and the heat feels very gentle on the skin. In the quiet space wrapped in subdued lighting, both body and mind are led into deep relaxation.

A pleasant women’s cold-water bath with fresh water constantly overflowing. Abundant water flows in from the tap, and it feels gentle on the skin while giving a strong sense of cleanliness. Step out of the cold bath, and you can enjoy luxurious open-air relaxation while feeling the pleasant breeze in the outdoor area overlooking the beautiful mountains of Shinshu.
