“Hakuba Ryujin Onsen RYOKAN SUI (formerly Nagomi no Yuyado)” is an onsen ryokan in Kamishiro, Hakuba Village, Kitaazumi District, Nagano Prefecture, and one of the largest facilities in the Hakuba area. Its pride and joy is the hot spring: a tea-brown private spring with an overwhelming flow rate, said to be the highest in Hakuba. The water is used as 100% natural free-flowing spring water with no dilution at all, and this superb skin-beautifying bath combines a mildly alkaline cleansing effect that leaves skin smooth and a powerful warmth-retaining effect that wraps the body in a gentle salt-rich veil. The bath area features a rock-built open-air bath where the refreshing highland breeze of Hakuba passes through, as well as a spacious indoor bath. The authentic dry sauna, rich with the warmth of wood and steadily warming the body from deep within, together with the cold plunge bath fed by Hakuba’s cool underground water, makes the totonou experience pure bliss.
A tea-brown hot spring rich in the blessings of the earth, boasting one of the most abundant flow rates in the Hakuba area. Its mildly alkaline quality helps wash away old dead skin cells, while the excellent chloride effect continues to protect against chills even after bathing. You can enjoy this double skin-beautifying spring as a completely 100% free-flowing natural spring, with no added water at all.
An authentic dry sauna with a carefully considered wood-accented atmosphere and an L-shaped two-tier layout. The set temperature is kept on the high side, and the pleasantly dry heat fills the room. It slowly carries warmth deep into the body tired from snowboarding, skiing, mountaineering, and other sports, encouraging a refreshing sweat.
A compact cold plunge bath located very close to the sauna room, sized for one person to soak in at their own pace. It uses Hakuba’s cool natural underground water, and its crisp, bracing coldness refreshes a body heated to the limit in the sauna.
