Shizuoka Shizuoka City

Sauna Shikiji is a sauna facility located in Shikiji, Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Known as a sacred site for sauna enthusiasts, its most distinctive feature is the cold plunge bath that uses 100% natural Suruga water. The natural water, filtered from deep underground, is a medium-soft water with hardness 84 and is rich in calcium and magnesium. It is potable and guests are free to take it home. The facility offers two types of herbal saunas in Finnish and Korean styles, and the high-temperature dry sauna follows a Showa-era strong style that induces heavy sweating. The Korean herbal sauna uses authentic medicinal herbs specially blended by Korean herbal doctors. There is also a herbal medicinal bath, a high-mineral natural-water jacuzzi bath, and a dining area on the second floor. Open 24 hours, year-round. About a 15-minute drive from Shizuoka Station, with a large parking lot for 50 cars.
