About Hanazono Onsen sauna kukka

Hanazono Onsen sauna kukka is a hot spring and multi-sauna bathing facility in Higashi-Osaka, Osaka Prefecture. On the 2nd floor, Spa Hanazono offers a sodium bicarbonate spring sourced from 1,000 m underground, with a hot bath and a warm bath, an outdoor bath, and a gender-separated Sauna Hanazono equipped with auto löyly. The 3rd floor is a swimsuit-required coed area featuring the 80-person-class Sauna Kukka, wood-fired barrel saunas, and reservable private rooms called oma supervised by manga author Katsuki Tanaka. The 1st floor houses a food court and body care services, allowing for full-day stays.

Hanazono Onsen

The baths are supplied with a sodium bicarbonate spring sourced from 1,000 m underground. The indoor baths are organized into two systems: a deeper hot bath and a more leisurely warm bath, making it easy to choose by temperature. The outdoor baths emphasize skin-beautifying effects, with water that feels smooth and leaves skin soft and conditioned.

Sauna Hanazono

An auto löyly sauna located in the outdoor area of the main bath. It is equipped with a Sawo tower-type stove and a Bona stove, featuring a spacious interior and three-tiered seating. The automatic löyly system and a heat-wave device are designed to envelop the entire room in heat and steam in a short time.

Self-löyly sauna

A sauna inside the men's bathing room that allows self löyly. You can pour water onto the sauna stones at your preferred timing to directly experience the rising steam and spreading heat. Ideal for those who want a quiet, disciplined sweat session while focusing inward.

Mist sauna

A salt nano-mist sauna in the women's bathing room where fine steam fills the space. The temperature is set lower, but the high humidity warms the body deeply. It feels less stifling and helps protect skin and hair from drying while providing a moist, conditioning bathing effect.

A cold plunge bath in the 2nd-floor main bath with both shallow and deep sections in the same tub. Because it has substantial depth, you can fully submerge your heated body from the sauna at once for efficient cooling. After the cold plunge bath, enjoy the spacious outdoor cooling area lined with carefully selected chairs designed for totonou (the state of perfect relaxation), feeling the breeze as you relax.

The main attraction on the 3rd-floor swimsuit-required floor, this panoramic sauna can accommodate over 80 people. The spacious interior even allows for lying down, and regular aufguss events and yoga classes are held. It is a highly entertaining space where many people gather to share the sauna's heat and a sense of camaraderie.

Barrel sauna

Two reservation-only barrel saunas are installed on the 3rd-floor outdoor terrace. They use authentic wood-burning stoves on-site, letting you experience the crackling of the fire and the flicker of the flames up close. You stoke the wood yourself to adjust temperature and use self löyly to set your preferred humidity, offering an extraordinary bonfire-like experience.

Reservation-based private saunas available for 1–3 people. Some rooms include a special space supervised by Katsuki Tanaka, author of the manga Sado. With a Bluetooth speaker you can play your preferred music and enjoy a luxurious private sauna session at your own pace without worrying about others.

A deep cold plunge bath attached to the swimsuit-required 3rd-floor coed area, designed so you can fully submerge your heated body for efficient cooling. The depth provides a pleasant compressive tightening sensation and the exhilarating feeling of cooling up near the head.
