About Natural Onsen Banpaku Oyuba
Genki Onsen Banpaku Oyuba is a day-trip onsen bathhouse in Suita, Osaka Prefecture. In its vast open-air bath, with a wonderful sense of openness, you can savor natural sodium chloride spring water welling up from deep underground while a pleasant natural breeze moves over you. Soak in water that warms you to the core, and a cozy afterglow lingers long after you step out. The saunas differ between the men’s and women’s sides: the men’s side has the Yokozuna Sauna, where waves of heat swirl through the room, and the Jonetsu Sauna with automatic löyly, while the women’s side has the Konatsu Sauna, a rocky sauna, and the Komachi Sauna, with its powerful skin-beautifying effect. There is also a warm-stone room, where you can spend blissful, unhurried hours letting the fatigue of everyday life go.
Hot SpringONSEN
Natural onsen
An authentic natural onsen of sodium chloride spring water pumped up from deep underground. Rich in iron and salt, the water is tinted reddish brown; it warms the body powerfully to the core, and a cozy afterglow lingers long after you get out. In the open-air bath, among the most spacious in Kansai and wonderfully open, you can enjoy a long, luxurious soak to your heart’s content beneath a wide sky, feeling the natural breeze.
Specialty baths
The popular artificial carbonated bath is mildly acidic water with plenty of carbon dioxide dissolved in it. Fine bubbles gently envelop the skin, and although the water is kept lukewarm, it promotes circulation and slowly warms the whole body. There is also a wide range of bathing experiences that never grow old, including a jet bath whose pleasant currents loosen the muscles and the Matsuri-no-Yu, a vividly colored bath that changes with the seasons.

Yokozuna Sauna
The spacious main sauna on the men’s side. The benches are deep, so you can stretch out your legs and relax at ease. Heat from far-infrared and the sauna stones envelops the body powerfully, drawing out a thorough sweat from the core. In the löyly and aufguss sessions that staff hold regularly, you are bathed head to toe in pleasantly hot, aroma-scented air and break into a refreshing, heavy sweat.
Jonetsu Sauna
A men-only sauna with automatic löyly, standing quietly in the open-air area. The silent room has no TV and is kept dim, offering a stoic, immersive experience in which you can turn deeply inward. At regular intervals a powerful automatic löyly sends hot steam pouring down through the room all at once, wrapping the body in overwhelming heat and drawing out a torrent of sweat.
Konatsu Sauna
An authentic rocky sauna in the women’s bath. Its dynamic automatic löyly pours generous amounts of water from above, filling the room with pleasant humidity and heat. Staff also hold aufguss sessions using aroma water, and wrapped in rich scents, you can feel the fatigue and stress of daily life flow away with your sweat.
Komachi Sauna
A salt sauna on the women’s side, set to a mild temperature. Spread mineral-rich natural salt over your body and massage gently, as if stroking the skin, and old dead skin and sebum naturally melt away. After sweating as you relax in the quiet room, you can feel a blissful skin-beautifying effect, with skin that is astonishingly smooth and silky.

Warm-stone room
The warm-stone area, which men and women can use together in the wear provided, is a detox space where gentle far-infrared heat warms you softly from within. Lie back at ease, and the pleasant warmth loosens stiff muscles as fine, light sweat flows without end. Close your eyes in the quiet, and you can sink into a deep immersion far from the bustle of daily life. Different from the powerful heat of the sauna, it is a gentle, deeply relaxing time of healing to enjoy to the full.
