About Osaka Sauna DESSE
"Osaka Sauna DESSE" is an urban sauna facility in Chuo Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. Based on the concept of Osaka, the city of water, it features eight sauna experiences: River, Kura, Forest, Tea Room, Water Surface, Garden, Annex, and Connect. The River Sauna’s structure, which lets you dive straight from the sauna into the cold plunge bath, has become a hot topic. The Tea Room Sauna recreates a quiet bathing space with tatami and earthen walls, while the Forest Sauna uses dim steam to reproduce the humidity of a forest. There are four tap-water cold plunge baths, with temperatures ranging from extra cold to a deeper pot-style bath. It also has a semi-open-air bathing area, hammocks, and a food and relaxation lounge. Located a 2 to 3-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station, the facilities available vary depending on the day under the men’s and women’s day system.
SaunaSAUNA
River / Kura Sauna
The standout feature is the structure: water flows at the back of the sauna room, inspired by Horikawa, and you can dive straight into the cold plunge bath. The feeling of escaping while fully immersed up to your head is unlike anything else. Auto löyly raises the humidity and gently draws out sweat. It is connected internally with the Kura Sauna, and they are used as one space during heat-wave service.
Forest Sauna
A hot, humid steam sauna that creates the atmosphere of a calm, dim forest. Deadwood-like objects and natural light reproduce forest humidity, and it boasts the highest temperature in the facility. Designed to help you totonou when combined with the dedicated pot-style cold plunge bath. The moist heat wraps around your body.
Water Surface Sauna
A low-temperature, moderately humid sauna that is easy to relax in. Lie back on the ergonomic bench and enjoy the sparkle of water reflected on the ceiling. Close to the indoor relaxation area, it offers a calm setting for taking your time and sweating comfortably.
Tea Room Sauna
A tasteful recreation of a tea room, with tatami flooring, earthen walls, and raised seating. On top of the stove, which is designed to resemble a hearth, there is a teapot-shaped container, and tea is poured into it so you can enjoy tea löyly.
Annex Sauna
Self löyly is available, allowing you to adjust the humidity and temperature to your liking. It also supports whisking service, so you can enjoy an authentic sauna experience. The heat is on the higher side, making it ideal for those who want to work up a good sweat.
Garden Sauna
A sauna facing the semi-open-air bathing area. Fresh air comes in through the large windows, creating a sense of openness similar to a virtual outdoor bath. It is close to the area where conversation is allowed, so you can enjoy it with friends.

River Cold Plunge Bath (Directly Connected to River Sauna / Kura Sauna)
A cold plunge bath you can dive into directly from the River Sauna and Kura Sauna. With a structure directly connected to the river flowing inside, you can move from the sauna to the cold plunge bath in one go. It cools down heated bodies in an instant.

A wide, horizontally shaped bath.
Single Cold Plunge Bath [Next to River Sauna]
A one-person single cold plunge bath. With a crisp 8°C chill, it cools down heated bodies instantly. Located outdoors, it is easy to move back and forth with the outdoor bathing area. Ideal for those who want to cool down with focus.
Pot-Style Cold Plunge Bath (Next to Forest Sauna)
A deep, pot-shaped cold plunge bath with a water depth of over 140 cm. Installed outdoors exclusively for the Forest Sauna, it lets you sink in slowly and deeply. With a pleasantly cool temperature, it is easy to stay in for a long time. Its vertical shape cools your whole body as if enveloping it.
