Hot SpringONSEN

Free-flow from source

Motoike Source & Kannonjima Source (Mixed Spring)

A bicarbonate spring mixed at a ratio of 3:7 from the Motoike Source and Kannonjima Source. It is colorless, transparent, tasteless, and odorless, with a smooth texture gentle on the skin. Bicarbonate springs are also known as "beauty baths," softening and washing away skin keratin, leaving the skin smooth after bathing. It has high heat retention, keeping the body warm and cozy even after bathing. It is expected to be effective for chronic muscle and joint pain, cold sensitivity, decreased gastrointestinal function, and fatigue recovery. Enjoy the fresh spring water flowing directly from the source in the open-air bath "TENKUH" or the panoramic large bath "Kogane," spending a blissful moment with the stunning view of the Ariake Sea.

SaunaSAUNA

01SAUNA

"Umi no Sauna" "Sora no Sauna"

Men's

A Finnish-style self-löyly sauna with a spectacular view floating on the sea. The men's sauna is called "Umi no Sauna" and the women's sauna is "Sora no Sauna," offering a unique location with an endless ocean and sky view. Sit on the two-tiered bench made entirely of hinoki and achieve a state of totonou while gazing at the grand panorama of the Ariake Sea through the large window protruding into the sea. When Shimabara spring water is poured over the sauna stones heated by the latest model ZIEL (electric heater) from METOS, it sizzles and crackles, enveloping the body in an intense heat wave. With no TV or noise, only the pleasant sound of löyly can be heard.

02SAUNA

Total Hinoki Sauna

Men's

The only total hinoki sauna with a sea view on the Shimabara Peninsula, made from Kumamoto-grown cypress. It evolved to be even more powerful with the renewal in February 2023, introducing the METOS löyly dedicated sauna stove "iki." Auto-löyly operates every hour on the hour and half-hour, filling the room with pleasant aromatic steam. Additionally, a jet fan installed on the ceiling automatically activates every 30 minutes, delivering an intense heat wave.

03SAUNA

Finnish-style Self-löyly Sauna

Men's

A private sauna for adult meditation and totonou. A cozy-sized sauna entirely lined with hinoki. Enjoy a quiet time to reflect on yourself, a special moment with close friends, or in any style you prefer in this private space. The latest model ZIEL (electric heater) from METOS, located at the back of the bench, transforms self-löyly into the ultimate experience.

04SAUNA

Steam Sauna

Men's

The only steam sauna with a sea view in Shimabara. It creates a high-humidity space that is gentle on the skin, throat, and hair. With a lower temperature setting (around 40°C) compared to high-temperature dry saunas, it is less stimulating and burdensome on the body, allowing even those who are not fond of hot saunas to sweat comfortably and slowly.
