Connected Sauna THE BARREL is a sauna specialty facility located in Yojirou, Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. It reopened in August 2025, evolving from private saunas to 'Connected Saunas.' Enjoy self-löyly in four types of saunas: VIHTA, PINE, KELO, and CABIN, and swiftly cool down in the chiller-cooled cold plunge bath. The facility offers a spacious outdoor relaxation area for up to 14 people and an air-conditioned meditation room for a fulfilling rest, along with fascia release and facial esthetics. Conversations are allowed in the sauna rooms, while other areas maintain a silent bathing style for achieving totonou.

The largest diameter barrel sauna in Japan. Set at a high temperature of 100°C, the unique round space of the barrel efficiently circulates heat and steam. The self-löyly features the scent of vihta (young birch branches), spreading a refreshing coolness reminiscent of a Finnish forest. The enveloping heat typical of barrel saunas is pleasant, allowing for deep sweating in a short time. Conversations are allowed in the sauna room, enabling you to share the totonou experience with friends.

After emerging from the cold plunge bath, you can achieve a deep state of totonou in the well-equipped outdoor relaxation space or meditation room.
