"Spa Metsä Sendai Ryusenji no Yu" is a bath and wellness complex in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. It features three different saunas, including the Date no Sauna, inspired by Date Masamune's black helmet, and a meditation sauna with self-löyly using a single slab of natural aromatic kusa wood, each offering a distinct heat experience. Recharge with the Northeast's first single cold plunge bath and a deep cold bath you can submerge yourself in up to your head, then let the fatigue melt away in the outdoor natural hot springs and a variety of carbonated baths. With six kinds of bedrock baths, a coworking space with over 10,000 books, and a restaurant, it is a comfortable place to spend the whole day.
Hot SpringONSEN
Large Bath
The spacious large bath is filled to the brim with gentle natural hot spring water. You can enjoy the benefits of the hot spring in a variety of tubs, such as the stone bath and the waist-deep bath. In addition, there are six kinds of carbonated baths with distinctive features, including a high-concentration carbonated spring and an ultra-fine bubbly pot carbonated bath. The tiny bubbles envelop the entire body, promote circulation, and provide deep relaxation.

Date no Sauna
A one-of-a-kind sauna unique to Sendai, inspired by Date Masamune's black helmet. Based on navy and gold, the colors of the clan banner, the space decorated with the Date family crest creates a truly special experience. Every hour at :00, the signature "Dokuganryu löyly" is held, and the powerful heat waves released from the waterwheel-style stove envelop the entire body.
Herb- scented Mori no Ui Salt Sauna
A mist sauna where high-temperature steam warms you thoroughly from the feet all the way to the whole body. Inside, where the pleasant scent of natural herbs drifts through the air, mineral-rich mud packs and salt are always available. By slowly working up a sweat while wrapped in steam, it leaves your skin moisturized and beautifully smooth.
Mori no Kouboku Medi Sauna
A meditation sauna with self-löyly, made from a single slab of natural aromatic kusa wood over 100 years old. The sound of dripping water touching the sauna stones and the gentle fragrance of wood spread through the quiet space. Step away from the noise of everyday life and let your mind and body unwind in a blissful meditation experience as you connect deeply with yourself.

Kiwami Deep Cold Bath
A cold plunge bath with enough depth for men to submerge up to the shoulders and for women to relax comfortably in. After rinsing off thoroughly, you can immerse your whole body up to the head and cool yourself evenly throughout. The cold, as if rising from the depths of the water, gently wraps around your heated body and brings a refreshing sense of exhilaration.
Mori no Cold Plunge Bath
A cold plunge bath that you can enter while seated and relaxed. It lets you cool your body thoroughly in a comfortable posture and gently soothe the heat left behind after the sauna. After getting out, you can smoothly move to the variety of outdoor air-bath spaces prepared nearby.
Metsä Cold Plunge Bath
A bone-chilling cold plunge bath set to a single-digit temperature range, just what sauna enthusiasts are looking for. It instantly cools down your body after intense heat in the sauna, while its sharp cold sensation tightens the entire body. By enjoying alternating baths in combination with other cold plunge baths and warm tubs, you are drawn into an even deeper world of totonou.
