Sauna & Cold Bath Information
Date-na Sauna
A one-of-a-kind dry sauna inspired by the black helmet of the Sengoku warlord Masamune Date. The "Dokuganryu Löyly" is automatically performed every hour on the hour, enveloping the room in a wave of heat. With a spacious capacity, many people can experience the löyly heat wave simultaneously. The interior, designed with helmet motifs, creates an extraordinary atmosphere, offering enjoyment for both the senses and the body. The heat rises sharply, allowing for a thorough sweat before heading to the cold plunge bath. Experience a unique concept sauna in Sendai and achieve a state of perfect relaxation.
Mori no Koboku Medi Sauna
A meditation-style sauna luxuriously using a single slab of natural fragrant camphor wood over 100 years old. Self-löyly is possible, allowing you to control the steam and heat at your own pace. The scent of camphor wood fills the room, leading to deep relaxation for both body and mind. It's a relatively calm space where you can sweat quietly while reflecting on yourself. The texture and scent of the wood stimulate the senses, providing a meditative experience. The quality of the heat is gentle, making it suitable for long, leisurely sessions.
Herb-scented Mori no Uruoi Salt Sauna
A salt sauna where you can enjoy high-temperature steam and the scent of natural herbs. Salt and mud packs are available in the room, allowing you to apply them to your skin while sweating, expecting both beauty and detox effects. The high humidity of the steam prevents dryness, allowing for a slow sweat. The scent of herbs passes through the nostrils, enhancing relaxation. The osmotic pressure effect of the salt makes the skin smooth, and the refreshing feeling after bathing is exceptional. This mist sauna is popular with both men and women.
Metzza Cold Water Bath
The first single-temperature (below 10°C) cold water bath in Tohoku. It is sharply cold, instantly tightening the body heated by the sauna. The sharp coldness unique to single-temperature penetrates the body, allowing you to enjoy the sensation of blood vessels contracting all at once.
[Open-air] Extreme Deep Cold Plunge Bath
The deepest cold plunge bath in Eastern Japan, with a depth of 162 cm for men and 100 cm for women. You can immerse yourself completely after washing your whole body, experiencing a special feeling of being enveloped in cold water. It's moderately cold, making it ideal for gradually lowering body temperature. The water pressure from the depth applies to the entire body, promoting blood circulation and relaxation effects.
Mori Cold Water Bath
A cold water bath you can sit in, with a depth of 120 cm for men and 80 cm for women. It's not as cold as the single bath, nor as deep as the deep cold plunge bath, allowing for balanced cooling. With a relatively large capacity, it's easier to enter even during crowded times. The depth allows you to sit and submerge up to your shoulders, cooling down while relaxing.
