A soothing onsen space that feels like exploring the forest

Yamanashi Nanbu Town

Mori no Naka no Onsen Nanbu no Yu in Nanbu Town is a day-use onsen facility renewed with the concept of a "forest onsen". Its high-concentration alkaline hot spring, pH 10.3, is sourced from 1,500 m underground and is popular for its skin-smoothing properties. The spacious public bath area includes a dry sauna and a mist sauna, and just outside the sauna there is a mild cold plunge bath kept at around 20°C. With a manga and book corner holding about 8,000 volumes and a selection of full-scale gourmet dining options, you can relax here all day.
