Scenic bathing in Kobe with views of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge
SPA Sen Taihei no Yu is a bathing complex in Tarumi Ward, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. Adjacent to Marine Pia Kobe, it boasts an open-air bath with spectacular views of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and the Seto Inland Sea. In addition to a variety of baths such as a high-concentration carbonated bath and artificial hot springs, the facility features a dry sauna with automatic löyly, a salt steam sauna, and a mist sauna, with staff-led aroma löyly sessions held daily. The facility also offers bedrock bathing, a restaurant, and relaxation services, allowing guests to spend a full day while gazing out at the sea.

An open-air bath infused with a very high concentration of carbon dioxide, a type of bath sometimes referred to as a 'heart bath' in Europe. Even when set to a lukewarm temperature, the perceived warmth is high and it warms the body to the core, leaving a lasting warming sensation after bathing. From evening onward, a water basin in front of the tub is lit with firefly-like lights, creating a magical atmosphere together with the coastal nightscape.

An open-air tub in a Goemon-bath style made from Shigaraki pottery. It is set slightly hot at just under 42°C, and the sensation of being wrapped tightly by the pot when you soak creates a distinctive feeling. Periodic seasonal floral and scented baths are offered.

An open-air reclining bath designed so you can lie back with almost no water pressure on your body. The gentle water flow along the back softly envelops the whole body, allowing you to enjoy a long soak in a comfortable posture without easily getting tired.

A silk bath in which countless ultra-fine bubbles make the water appear milky. The fine bubbles reach deep into the pores to lift away impurities while the negative-ion effect promotes relaxation. The soft sensation of being wrapped in fluffy bubbles is very pleasant.

A mist sauna filled with so much steam the interior turns white. Even at a mild 45°C, the high-humidity steam penetrates the skin, opening pores and sweat glands to promote the elimination of waste and toxins. On the men's side, beyond the white mist there are panoramic views of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, the Seto Inland Sea, and Awaji Island, and the combination of the view and steam creates a uniquely memorable experience.

A convective dry sauna with a stacked stone stove. The spacious room includes a TV and personal sauna mats. Its standout feature is an automatic löyly that activates every 20 minutes, automatically spraying aromatic steam onto the stones and rapidly raising both temperature and humidity.

A women-only dry sauna that uses gas-powered far-infrared heaters to deliver gentle radiant heat throughout the room. Guests can perform self-löyly by pouring daily-changing aromatic water onto the stones while timing with an hourglass, allowing them to add fragrance and steam at their preferred timing. You can enjoy comfortable sweating wrapped in aroma, and staff-led löyly sessions are held during special events.

A men's cold plunge bath located in the indoor bathing area. With a reassuringly cool water temperature of 15°C, it quickly cools the body heated by the dry sauna or salt steam sauna. The water depth of 60–80 cm makes it easy to submerge the whole body, smoothing the process toward a state of perfect relaxation. It is also conveniently close to the outdoor resting area, facilitating repeated cold plunge bath to outdoor rest cycles.
