"SPA TERRACE Shisui" is a hot spring ryokan in Kita Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. Its biggest appeal is that it is one of the few accommodations in Arima Onsen with its own natural hot spring source, allowing guests to enjoy both of Arima’s famous waters: kinsen and ginsen. Both the women’s large bath, Toto no Yu, and the men’s large bath, Sumiya no Yu feature ginsen, a radium spring, in the indoor bath and kinsen in the open-air bath, offering a luxurious soak while taking in the lush greenery of nature and the pleasant breeze. The women’s large bath also includes an aroma mist sauna that makes use of the ginsen radium spring, letting guests refresh themselves while surrounded by a rich fragrance. In the women-only large bath, Toto no Yu, you can bathe while gazing at the abundant trees of the Arima mountain range spread out before you. The indoor bath is filled with ginsen, a colorless and transparent radium spring, while the open-air bath is fed with kinsen, which has Arima’s distinctive reddish-brown color, allowing you to enjoy two famous springs at once. In the open-air bath, surrounded by the stillness of nature and the scent of wood, you can feel the pleasant breeze and spend a blissful moment warming yourself to the very core.
Sumiya no Yu
The men-only large bath, Sumiya no Yu, features an open, spacious design with views of the blue sky and greenery. In the open-air bath, you can fully enjoy Arima’s signature kinsen, while the compact and calm indoor bath offers ginsen, a radium spring, letting you make the most of both natural hot springs flowing from the property’s own source.
