"Funabashi Grand Sauna & Capsule Hotel" is a long-established men-only sauna facility in an excellent location, just a 1-minute walk from JR Funabashi Station. It prides itself on a powerful dry sauna that can exceed 100°C, letting guests enjoy a high-quality sweat session in a Showa retro atmosphere. Its greatest attraction is the cold plunge bath, generously using natural underground water from Funabashi in a continuous flow. The soft-feeling underground water gently yet firmly refreshes and tones the body heated by the sauna. In addition, it features an exceptional near-body-temperature bath, the indifference bath (Togol bath), set at around 30°C, making it a true hidden retreat for sauna enthusiasts where you can experience blissful floating sensations through alternating hot-and-cold bathing.
A classic, hard-edged dry sauna characterized by intense heat of around 100°C. The room is filled with the warmth of wood, and you can slowly work up a sweat while watching TV. Its stable high-temperature setting makes it possible to sweat refreshingly even in a short time. Sauna mats are also provided, creating a clean space where you can face yourself in comfort.
Generously supplied with Funabashi's abundant natural underground water in a continuous flow. Its smooth, gentle feel on the skin is a hallmark of groundwater, softly enveloping the body heated by the sauna. With constantly fresh water being supplied, the cooling sensation is outstanding. This carefully crafted cold-water bath leads you to blissful totonou.
